Alternatives for Rheumatoid Arthritis

June 4

6) Curcumin
Curcumin  is a component of the herb turmeric, and it is a potent painkiller that can block proteins in the body that cause inflammation and also stops the neurotransmitter called substance P from sending pain message to the brain. Studies show that curcumin is effective in easing the chronic pain of rheumatoid arthritis. A suggested dose is 400 to 600 mg of curcumin taken three times daily for pain and inflammation.

7) Omega-3 Fatty Acids
The  omega-3 fatty acids  have anti-inflammatory properties that have proven beneficial for people who suffer with arthritis, other inflammatory joint conditions, and inflammatory bowel diseases. Omega-3s also reduce cardiovascular risk, which is especially helpful for people with rheumatoid arthritis, which carries an increased risk for cardiovascular disease. A suggested dose of omega-3 fatty acids as fish oil is 1,000 mg daily.

Virgin coconut oil
A good rule of thumb: ONE TEASPOON Of Virgin Coconut Oil for every 50 lbs of body weight. It's also a great treat for your dog but follow the above weight rule of thumb.  This nicely supports the antimicrobial, anti-inflammatory and immune-boosting effects of MCFA-rich coconut oil that countless people all over the world are presently experiencing, or should I say, enjoying!

In an earlier post we discussed the use of curcumin to add to the diet.  Curcumin has long been known to help with arthritic conditions.  The recommended amount to take according to the "Green Pharmacy" is 400mg 3X per day as long as the inflammation is bothersome.  Adding curcumin and coconut oil  to your diet via supplementation or meals may help ease some of the symptoms of arthritis.  Both have nutritional benefits and worthy of consideration

The virgin coconut oil used in this study was produced using the wet-milling method and heat, and not all virgin coconut oil is effective in the cure of arthritis.

The first step of the arthritis program outlined in my book is to address any existing dental issues and improve oral hygiene. The book explains how to do this using a technique called oil pulling, which uses coconut oil. This process "pulls" bacteria and deep rooted infections out of the mouth. This eliminates the source of the bacteria that continually seeps into the bloodstream and finds its way into joint tissue.
The second step is to take coconut oil as a systemic antibiotic. Pharmaceutical antibiotics are ineffective against arthritis because they cannot easily penetrate into the joint tissue. Anti-bacterial medium chain fatty acids from coconut oil however can, thus eliminating the infection in the joints. These two steps combined with a proper diet and dietary supplementation enhances the effects and prevents re-occurrence of the infections.

Soul
At the moment on curcumin
400 to 600 mg per dosage for 3 times = 1200 mg

I take half teaspoon of tumeric in the morning and three quarter teaspoon in the night.
One teaspoon is 4000 mg.
Mmm, am I taking more than required.
Or it is okay as the spec is on curcumin whereas I am taking the whole tumeric.
