Humility in empathy

Dec 9

Woke up feeling good. Body not as fresh as yesterday but still better than usual. Alarm now set at 3.50 am.

Did Bhuta Shuddi followed by Angamardhana. Hero posture is good. But body not as tired as yesterday.
Also did one cycle of Surya Kriya, alignment is good and bending postures good too after Angamardhana.
Breathing meditation is fine.
Shakti is quite okay. Shambavi too.
After 6 weeks I am finally back.

The power of empathy
We can only give back to the world what we have taken in; realising how much we have taken back gives us the humility needed to give back in full measures.

Humility is that place at the core of our being where we can settle into ourselves and find a point of rest. From this vantage point, we can see that we are not the center of the universe but a small, insignificant part, and that realisation is the ultimate freeing. Seeing ourselves within the vast sphere of living things, we understand our relative insignificance. And that realisation releases us from the desire to be the best, the brightest, the richest, or the most beautiful and let's us settle into the humble truth of who we are.
Paradoxically, that middle position also releases us from the fear that we may be the worst, the dumbest, the poorest or the plainest person on earth. Humility puts us right smack dab in the middle, where we are forced to admit that we are not so great and pleased to add that we're not so bad either.

Understanding urself - and even more important, feeling secure within that understanding - u will be motivated to reach out to others.

Soul
Mmm.
