Life is more than me

Nov 28 eve

The secrets of yoga by Osho
That's is the ego's effort, to be self contained. To become absolutely independent of all, that is the ego trip, the ultimate ego trip.
U cannot become self contained. U can become the whole contained but not self contained. How can you divide urself from the universe, separate? U cannot exist even for a single moment.

Only a person who come to realise, "I am not, the whole is", can live moment to moment. The future is not yet there and if this moment the whole has been protecting me, mothering me, helping me, then the whole will take care of tomorrow also. It will take care. And if the whole decides that I m not needed, and I dissolve - perfectly okay, because who am I to object?
This is what a religious man is: a deep surrender, a total surrender to the whole. Then he lives moment to moment. He does not live, he allows God to live through him. He becomes a vehicle. Then one is spiritual.

Drop memory and imagination. Be herenow.

Compliments and Criticism.
I've been seeing that when people compliment me I don't feel much any more. I've also been seeing that when I get given feedback from the people I live / work / am friends with, I'm able to hear it without feeling particularly wounded or hurt.
And I've got really curious about the link between these two things.
So here's what I'm thinking. As we grow and develop, the part of us that's not seeking for approval emerges more and more. The part of us that's not buoyed up by being liked or approved of can grow stronger, and this means that we can accept and willingly seek out the learning and how we might do things better.
Because we know it's not about us. We know that life is trying to refine itself, and maybe there's no reason to seek our OK'ness outside of us through other humans.
Life is about something other than us feeling good, getting praise or being told by another human being that we're doing alright. Life is more about truthfulness; whatever it looks like and however it feels, the truth matters more.
