identification leads to distortion of perception. Once u r deeply identified with something, u become more distorted.
Spirituality is about dis-identification.

Shifting and consolidating identity to a single focus, for eg Guru or Shiva or etc. Guru or shiva will not get entangled and prevent u from spiritual transcendence.

Spirituality means to know something which is beyond the physical. Right now, if u exists as a mere physical entity - as a body and and as a mind - whatever happens outside will also happens inside because both these things are accumulations from outside.

If what happens outside begins to happen within u all the time, then u being peaceful and happy is always accidental. Because it does not matter who u r, how great u r, the external situations will never be 100% in ur control. This is the nature of life. And if ur scope and play of ur life increases, u have less and less control over the situations in which you live. That is the reality of life.

So, whatever is happening outside is happening within u, u being peaceful and happy in ur life is a faraway thing. It is never going to Happen.

Only when a person begins to experience a dimension beyond the physical within himself, can he play with the physical world whichever way he wants. Only then can he do the best with the outside world, but his interiority remains undisturbed.
