If u are looking for a good family life, then one has to find rapport and that rapport means that there are some areas of commonality at least. If u are looking for a spiritual life, it does not matter what kind of person he or she is. You can use everything for ur spiritual growth, if that all is ur focus. But generally ur focus is both ways - u want to have a little bit of that and little bit of this.

To build rapport takes effort, it takes compromise, it takes love and it takes endurance. If u want to build rapport with someone who is not supportive, but u do not want to go his way, it takes lot of endurance. People whom u love are not easy.
So what can one do? One thing is to transform yourself in such a way, that being in ur presence, unknowingly, they will turn around.

Reading this I tot of Z and I. I don't want to go with his way. I only willing to budge in having a child but no more. It would have been so difficult. I also knew he doesn't fit both my values and my family values.
I was willing to endure. But he bolted. So a true blessing in disguise.
With Y, it just sync. And especially great we on the same spiritual path.
Yesterday he said I m the reason I got deepen in my practices. I said not sure if its him or the shrine. But maybe both.

If u want to take people with you, then it takes a considerable amount of effort. Because they can take such a lot of energy and time, and u do not know, they may be stronger than you and take you their way rather than you taking them your way. There is every possibility.

With Z I knew that's possible. But I knew I m firm in my spiritual path. That's why I was surprised on him getting a shrine too. But then I knew its again a social standing and also to impress his new wife.

It does not matter how u walk, as far as ur spiritual process is concerned, anyway you are alone. Nobody is with u.
It is only the bodily process, the material process of life, which you can share with people.
U come alone and u go alone.
When it comes to spirit, anyway u walk alone. Do not mix that up. That part of it u handle well. The material part of it, handle it according to ur capability.
U must see what u are capable of and what u are not capable of. If ur partner comes your way, it is wonderful. If they do not, it is alright.

The material part of ur life is never hundred percent proper and it can never be. Is there any family which is perfect family? Is there any business which is a perfect business? There is no such thing, don't seek that. Ur life will become wasteful and fanciful.

Even with u, if u take away the influences u have imposed on ur mind, ur life energies knows how to be. It is only ur mind which does not know how to be.
