The mind is constantly changing...always oppposite

Oct 10 aft

Just did afternoon Shoonya. Went in deep, like I had a deep sleep but conscious mode.

Adhyatma Upanishad
One law of the mind is that it never remains constantly the same; change is its nature. So, the peace that comes and goes - understand well that it is not spiritual peace, it is only of the mind.
However much u try, it will not remain for long, it will change. And if spiritual peace comes, however much u may try to destroy it, u will not be able to do so, it will remain there.

With the mind, in every moment there is movement towards the opposite. When u r restless, the mind starts moving towards rest, and when u are at peace, the mind starts moving towards restlessness.  Mind is duality, hence the opposite will always be there and it will keep moving.

When the peace is of the mind and it has not reached to the deeper layers within, then immediately on becoming peaceful, a desire will arise that this peace should continue to remain, that it should not go away. If this desire arises, take it that it was all mental, because fear of losing it is that of the mind.

Soul
Mmm, after practices I don't hold on to the joy or contentment.
But I have such tot whenever I tot I let go of Z and crazy tots come in thereafter.
But I m much better now. Tots that flow no longer affects me as before. Acceptance has set in.

Adhyatma Upanishad
Mind gets bored with everything - everything. It gets bored not only with unhappiness, but also happiness. It get bored with everything that is stable.
Mind is always asking for the new, and all the trouble arises out of this demand for the new.
When u are beyond the mind, there is no demand for the new, there is no feeling of boredom with the old; there is so much oneness with what is, that there is no demand for anything other than that.

By continuously looking for the opposite u will never be able to be free of the mind, because that is the very function of the mind, because that's the function of the mind: to be rid of unhappiness, to catch hold of the happiness.
To be free of the mind is to remain a witness when the mind is giving u happiness, and  not try to hold on to it.
For example, when u r meditating, suddenly a stream of peacefulness arrives. Then don't just embrace it; keep watching it, standing at a distance: 'Peace is happening and I am a witness'. When a fountain of bliss rises up, keep watching that too, from a distance; don't hold on to it with ur full force, thinking that 'All right, now liberation has come' just keep watching it.

The interesting thing is that the unhappiness of the one who does not hold on to happiness also vanishes; the restlessness of one who does not hold on to peace vanishes forever.
It is the holding on to peace that the seeds of peacelessness are sown, and in holding on to happiness is the birth of unhappiness.

Similarly don't cling!
Clinging is the mind. Do not cling to anything. The moment ur fist is open, u will be beyond the mind and u will enter where desires do not arise any more.
